Kevron Traditional Tambour Door System
Special Applications

 

 

Traditional Tambour Door Using no mechanism along with either track system, this is the quickest and easiest way to add a free flowing tambour door to any Fixture/Cabinets.The pictures below shows the recess tracking utilizing the 35mm aluminum slat. Both tracking systems can make use of any one of our engineered aluminum slats.The preformed corners along with extra length given to the straight tracks for "the custom cut to fit" make installing our track a breeze.

 

 

 

 

Recess Mounted Track

The Recessed Tracking uses an ABS extruded track/guide. The extruded track/guide is mortised into the Fixture/Cabinet material so the track rests 1/8" above the surface of the interior wall.This gives a pleasant and clean finished look to any Fixture/Cabinet your customers may desire.

 

 

Surface Mounted

The Surface Tracking uses an aluminum extruded track/guide and is mounted onto the surface interior of the Fixture/Cabinet opening.This works well when mounting behind a face frame.

 

 

 

 

Spring-Assisted

The Mechanically assisted tambour door. Using a spring assisted axle,this feature provides a cost effective aid in the raising and lowering of larger doors.This innovated design allows for smooth operation with minimal effort.The counterbalance system is manufactured with metal components providing long-term reliability.

 

 

 

Slats

While our 24mm slim profile anodized aluminum slat is featured, our track system may be built with an extensive choice of slat material, sizes and finishes.

 

 

 

 

Locks and handles and Hardware

We offer a variety locks and handles to accommodate your specific needs.

 

Track and corner joint

Our track systems utilize a molded ABS corner in a 3" 90° or 4” 90° radius.The Kevron track system incorporate a tongue-and-groove style connection so that the transition from straight track to curved corner is easily install.*Note: When using the new 24mm Slat a 2" 90° ABS corner is available.This can be of great aid for your designers when space is critical.

 

 

Track stripping

Both track systems incorporate a brush nylon stripping or a rigid PVC stripping in the tracks to ensure longevity, and to allow for a smooth and quiet operation.
